Call for event Proposals – NI Human Rights Festival

The Northern Ireland Human Rights Festival is seeking event proposals from organisations wishing to participate in their annual programme of events taking place from 6th – 12th December 2026.

The festival is an annual series of events and activities coordinated by the Human Rights Consortium each December that incorporates International Human Rights Day on the 10th of December.

The festival is dedicated to celebrating and protecting human rights through a diverse programme of activities that seek to positively promote, challenge and engage the public on human rights issues from home and abroad. Inspiring people to value human rights, deepen their understanding of the issues affecting them, and become active advocates for their protection.

The festival provides a mixture of policy and campaign focused content alongside creative and artistic events, helping to bring a wide range of human rights issues and themes into the public domain through a fun and accessible weeklong programme of events across Northern Ireland.

The Consortium is calling on community and voluntary organisations, charities, community groups, creative and artistic groups, universities, representative bodies and other organisations to consider hosting events in this year’s festival programme.
