We are currently hiring for a Human Rights Advocacy and Research Officer to join our team.
Job Title: Human Rights Advocacy & Research Officer
Location: Belfast (hybrid options available)
Hours: Full‑time, 35 hours per week
Contract: 18‑month fixed term from March/April 2026 (extension subject to funding)
Salary Scale: £34,434 – £36,363 (NJC SO1)
Pension: 8% employer contribution
Leave: 30 days plus statutory holidays

The Human Rights Consortium is seeking a passionate and experienced Human Rights Advocacy & Research Officer to support our work to secure a Bill of Rights for Northern Ireland, strengthen the protection of international human rights standards, and ensure full implementation of the Belfast/Good Friday Agreement’s human rights commitments.
This is a high‑impact role combining research, campaigning, and stakeholder engagement. You will help shape public debate, build civil society support, and advance one of the most significant human rights campaigns in Northern Ireland.
